Days 3-7: Work time at the GOOG

Hello blog friends - it's been a few days since my last post and I've been spending my days very full with work.  On Monday, I made my way over to the Google office, a nice 15 minute walk from my hotel.  The architecture is pretty stunning here in Sao Paulo.  Here's a pic I snapped of our office building reflecting the partly cloudy sky:

The weather's been pretty fickle since arriving, with sun, moving to clouds, to random rainstorms....but the temps never drop below 70, so I don't mind a little rain!

Everyone in the office has been great, super accommodating, and so fun!  The work's been quite hectic - I've been getting to work around 10am Brazil time, so I can better align with the East Coast hours....but being as busy as we all are, we've been logging some serious hours and leaving the office by 7/8pm Brazil time most nights.  The volume of work's intense, but everyone is insanely collaborative, so it doesn't feel stressful at all.  Having all of your teammates in the same cube, really makes it run smoothly.

Aside from the work, we've had a great time sharing stories and comparing life between the US and Brazil.  In an exchange of our favorite YouTube clips as of late, I gave a lesson on our San Francisco Giants and the legend of Brian Wilson's beard and ESPY outfit.  It was a lesson well learned by all!

Tomorrow is Pijama Day (Pajama Day), so I'll be sporting my sweatpants and fuzz socks.  I think a taxi's going to be mandatory tomorrow morning.

And...this weekend....I'm going to RIO.  Stay tuned....
